This site is operated by Shahjed BuildWorks Inc.. By using it you accept these terms. If you do not, please do not use the site.

The site is not a quote

Nothing on this website is a price, an estimate or an offer to carry out work. Service descriptions explain what we do; they do not commit us to a scope or a cost on your project.

A quote exists only when we have issued it to you in writing. A written quote sets out the scope, the exclusions and the price for your specific project, and it — not this website — is what governs the work.

Submitting an inquiry

Sending an inquiry does not create a contract and does not book any work. It starts a conversation. We may decline work, and we will say so rather than leaving you waiting.

When you submit an inquiry you confirm that:

• The details you give are accurate as far as you know.
• You are the owner of the property, or you are authorised to arrange work on it.
• Any files you attach are yours to share, and do not contain anyone else’s personal information you have no right to send.

Work we do not do

We carry out residential framing, renovation and carpentry work. We do not hold ourselves out as an electrical or plumbing contractor, and we do not perform work reserved to those licensed trades. We do not provide engineering or architectural design, and we do not obtain building permits on your behalf.

Where a project needs those, they are arranged separately by you or your designer, and we build to them.

Accuracy of the site

We keep this site accurate and current. Project photographs, where shown, are of work we carried out. We do not publish stock photography as our own work, and we do not publish reviews we cannot trace to a source.

Even so, content may become out of date. Nothing here should be relied on as construction, structural or legal advice for your specific situation.

Your use of the site

You agree not to:

• Submit false inquiries, or use the form to send anything unlawful or malicious.
• Attempt to gain access to the administration area or to any data that is not yours.
• Copy the site’s text, photographs, branding or drawings for use elsewhere without written permission.

Intellectual property

The Shahjed BuildWorks name, logo, and the text, technical drawings and photographs on this site belong to Shahjed BuildWorks Inc. unless stated otherwise. Shahjed BuildWorks Inc. is a member of the Shahjed Family.

This website — its design, layout, illustrations, written content and underlying code — was designed and built by Shahjed TechLand Inc. and is protected by copyright. Reproducing, republishing or adapting it in whole or in part, without written permission, is prohibited.

Files you send us stay yours; you give us permission to use them to assess and quote your project, and — only if you agree separately — to show the finished work.

Liability

This website is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from use of the site or from reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Liability for work we actually carry out is governed by the written quote and contract for that work, not by this page.

Where this site links elsewhere, we are not responsible for the content or the privacy practices of the other site.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in it. Disputes fall to the courts of Ontario.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version in force is the one published here at the time you use the site.
