What this website collects, why it collects it, and what happens to it afterwards.

Who this is about
This page describes how Shahjed BuildWorks Inc. handles personal information collected through this website. It is written to reflect what the site actually does — if something is not described here, the site does not do it.
What we collect
We collect information you type into the quote inquiry form, and nothing else about you. That is:
- Your name, phone number and email address.
- How you would prefer to be contacted.
- The city or postal code of the property, the property type, the kind of work, and your timing.
- The description of the project you write.
- Any photos or drawings you choose to attach — up to 10 files.
- The date you submitted it, along with your browser’s user agent, the page you arrived from, and your IP address. These are kept to detect abusive submissions and for no other purpose.
What we do not collect
This site does not use advertising trackers, does not build a profile of you across other websites, and does not ask for payment details. We never ask for financial or identity documents through this website.
Why we collect it
To answer your inquiry: to contact you about the project you described, to arrange a site visit, and to prepare a quote. If the project goes ahead, the same information becomes part of the project record.
You give consent for this when you tick the box on the inquiry form. You can withdraw it at any time by asking us to.
Who can see it
Inquiries are read by Shahjed BuildWorks Inc. and the people working on your project. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for marketing.
Two service providers handle it on our behalf: our website and database hosting, and our email provider, which delivers the notification of your inquiry. They process it only to provide those services.
Where an inquiry becomes a project, its record is also held in the Shahjed group’s internal management system, which is operated by the same business and is not accessible to anyone outside it.
Where it is stored
Inquiry records and any files you attach are stored on managed hosting. Attached files are held in private storage — they are not published, not indexed, and not reachable by a public link.
How long we keep it
- Inquiries that do not become projects: kept for up to two years, in case you come back to the same project, then deleted.
- Inquiries that become projects: kept as part of the project record for as long as we are required to keep business records, and for any warranty period on the work.
- Technical details (IP address, user agent) are kept for 90 days.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete your inquiry, unless we are required to keep it as a business record for work already carried out.
- Stop contacting you.
Ask through the contact page. Quote your inquiry reference if you have one — it makes finding the record immediate.
Cookies
This site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Cookies are used only where they are strictly necessary — for example, keeping an administrator signed in to the private admin area. Nothing on the public site requires a cookie, which is why you are not asked to consent to one.
Security
Inquiries are sent over an encrypted connection. Uploaded files are checked on the server to confirm they really are images or PDFs before they are stored, and are given generated filenames rather than keeping the one from your device. Access to the admin area requires a sign-in.
No system is perfect. If you believe information has been exposed, please tell us so we can deal with it.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes to how we handle inquiries will be described here rather than made quietly.
